With the second United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) event of 2022 this weekend, Jorge Ortiz is set to bring his talents back to the track. Taking on the GoPro Motorplex and the X30 Junior class with Tony Kart and Supertune, Ortiz will compete in the Junior ranks as he looks to add to his season win and podium total.
“It is another race weekend, and the goals remain the same as always,” explained Ortiz. “We have shown great speed throughout the season and had some good results. I would like nothing more this weekend to be able to challenge for the race win and climb to the top step of the podium on both Saturday and Sunday.”
Competing in the talent filled X30 Junior category, Jorge Ortiz will battle some of the nation’s best at the GoPro Motorplex. Always aggressive and fighting for every spot, Ortiz has no intentions of finishing second.
Ortiz added, “I love the GoPro track and think it suits my driving style well. The Tony Kart chassis is great there, and I know I have the best team in the paddock. We will have a few days of testing before the race action begins so we just need to work hard and make sure that we are there to challenge at the end of the weekend.”
Taking to the track today, Ortiz participated in the one and only practice day. Friday will be the home for qualifying with wheel-to-wheel races taking place over the weekend for rounds three and four of the United States Pro Kart Series.
