With preseason testing now complete, American driver Juan Manuel Correa is set for the 2018 GP3 Series. Kicking off the season this weekend at the Circuit de Barcelona in Catalunya, Spain, Correa will rejoin the Jenzer Motorsport program where he gained race experience in 2017. With that knowledge, experience and a familiar program in his wheelhouse, the American driver will be able to make a run at the series title in 2018.

“I am ready to get down to racing,” expressed Correa. “I have been training hard this off season and we had some productive test days in the past few months. I was able to work with my engineer in a race program earlier in the year that I believe will be beneficial as we move forward in our GP3 program.”

Making the move to Jenzer Motorsport and GP3 late in 2017, Correa used the latter half of the season to learn the car, tires, series and team. 2018 will see the American compete in the complete nine weekend, eighteen race series that follows the Formula One calendar to some of the world’s most iconic race circuits.

Correa added, “When I moved into GP3, the car was much quicker than others that I have driven in the past. The grip was higher and there was the DRS system, everything that I needed to understand. Making the jump for the second half of last season will be beneficial for me this year. With my continued goal to move up the motorsports ladder, I feel comfortable heading into the 2018 season with the experience I was able to gain last year. I learned so much in 2017 that is also very important for our program this season.”

JM Correa would like to thank all his marketing partners who are on board in 2018. A special thank you to NOE Sushi Bar, Faico-Motriz, US Performance Academy, ACCUS and Bell Helmets.
