Committed to bringing new drivers from karting to cars, Jay Howard Driver Development is set to do that again at the VIRginia International Raceway. Competing in the Parella Motorsports Holdings SpeedTour Formula Development Series, Jia Zhanbin will look to gain experience and knowledge in his first open-wheel event.
“While the Formula Development Series is new and entries are low, it is the perfect opportunity for a driver like Jia to get on track and behind the wheel of a race car,” explained Jay Howard. “We will see how Jia performs and where that may lead into the 2024 race season.”
“I am thankful to Jay and the JHDD program for allowing me the opportunity,” explained Zhanbin. “I look to make the most of the chance and am anxious to be involved in the Jay Howard-led program.”
JHDD and Jia Zhanbin will be on track October 5-8 at the Andy Scriven Memorial at the VIR SpeedTour.
