Jeremy Fletcher is set to return to Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup Presented by Michelin competition this weekend as the championship heads north of the border for the fourth event of the 2026 season at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP).

Driving for McCumbee McAleer Racing, Fletcher enters the weekend as the reigning Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup champion and currently sits sixth in the championship standings with four race weekends, eight wheel-to-wheel races remaining, including this weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. As the season reaches its halfway point, the championship battle remains well within reach.

Following a busy stretch of racing in the Toyota GR Cup earlier this season, Fletcher has shifted his focus back to defending his Mazda MX-5 Cup title and is eager to continue climbing the championship standings.

Canadian Tire Motorsport Park serves as the series’ lone international event on the 2026 calendar. The legendary 2.459-mile, ten-turn circuit is one of North America’s fastest road courses leaving no room for error. Its flowing layout has made it a favorite among drivers and a staple on the Mazda MX-5 Cup schedule. Fletcher is looking forward to the challenge.

“I’m excited to get back to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park,” explained Fletcher. “It’s one of the best tracks we race all year and always produces some great racing. We’re at the halfway point of the season now, so every race and every point becomes even more important. We’ve got the pace to fight at the front, and the whole McCumbee McAleer Racing team has been working hard to put us in a position to contend for wins. Hopefully, we can have a clean weekend and make up some ground in the championship.”

With the championship entering its second half, Fletcher heads to Canada determined to add another strong weekend to his title defense and continue his climb toward the top of the standings. The race weekend will begin Friday with two practice sessions. Saturday’s schedule will feature qualifying followed by Race One, while Race Two will conclude the weekend on Sunday. Fans can watch all the action live on IMSA TV at IMSA.com/tvlive/.

Jeremy Fletcher will document his 2026 season across his official social platforms, delivering race weekend coverage, behind-the-scenes content, and ongoing updates. For full driver information, visit JeremyFletcherRacing.com.
