Jeremy Fletcher is set to return to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) this weekend alongside the IMSA paddock for the penultimate event of the 2026 Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup Presented by Michelin season with McCumbee McAleer Racing.
With only two race weekends remaining on the calendar, Fletcher will look to continue building momentum as the season approaches its conclusion. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course presents a unique challenge, combining the iconic history of the facility with a technical circuit that only rewards fast race cars, but also drivers who are able to work in the draft down the long IMS front straightaway.
Fletcher, the reigning Mazda MX-5 Cup champion, will have two opportunities this weekend to add to his 2026 campaign and position himself strongly heading into the season finale.
“IMS is always a special place to race, and with the season getting down to these final few races, every lap and every point matters,” explained Fletcher. “We have been working hard all season, and I am looking forward to getting back in the car and putting together a strong weekend with McCumbee McAleer Racing. The goal is to maximize every opportunity we have and head into the finale with some momentum.”
The weekend will begin Friday with two practice sessions followed by qualifying, giving Fletcher his first opportunity to fine tune his car before Saturday’s opening race.
