It was a winning weekend for Jason Bell at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Competing with a brand new Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in the GMG Racing program, Bell was able to climb to the top step of the blocks in his hometown event as carried his winning momentum from 2021 onwards into a new racing season.

Living just a short drive from the downtown street circuit, Bell was able to celebrate with family, friends and partners at the end of a great weekend of competition. After qualifying second and beginning the first GT America race from the outside of the front row, Bell had to take evasive action to avoid an incident and fell back to the eleventh position. Working hard to move his way back towards the front, the GMG Racing driver advanced forward six positions from his lowest point on track to finish round one in fifth.

“It was a good day, but I think our pace is much better than the result that we have shown,” explained Bell. “Tomorrow I start row two and will look to get to the front and see where the cards fall. I know we have the pace to win.”

Saturday morning greeted the GT America drivers with a packed house, and it was Bell who emerged as the victor. Taking the lead from his P3 starting position, the #2 entry held off the advances of the rest of the GT4 competitors to score the win by nearly two seconds.

Bell continued, “I knew we had the pace yesterday, and I was confident that if we got to the front, we could stay there. I owe this win to the guys at GMG for all the hard work and long hours to help get where we are. A huge shout out to all my partners for a great weekend, and I can’t wait to continue our winning ways throughout the season.”

Jason Bell would like to thank all his partners for their continued support. A huge thanks to GMG Racing, Aston Martin Racing, MovoCash, Meat Market, Paddock1 Garages and Wells Fargo Private Banking.
