It is back to North America and back to the GT4 America program for Floridian Jason Bell this weekend as he travels to New York and the famous Watkins Glen International Raceway. Fresh off a Porsche GT2 event in Belgium, Bell will see action in both Sprint and SprintX divisions this weekend at the challenging road course behind the wheel of a Porsche GT4.
“I had an awesome time in Europe and we learned a lot,” explained Jason Bell. “Hopefully we will be able to transfer some of that newfound knowledge back to our remaining events in North America starting with this weekend. The goal is simple. Win!”
Pulling double duty at a few select events already in 2019, Bell is accustomed to the busy and hectic schedule that his GT4 weekends have become. Able to have more track time than his competitors, Bell will look to utilize that to his advantage with the always changing track conditions.
Bell continued, “I really enjoy Watkins Glen and the area around the track. This has been an event that I have been looking forward to all year, and I will be aiming for a podium result.”
Jason Bell will compete alongside SprintX co-driver Andrew Davis.
With Friday providing the back drop for pre-event testing and practice, Saturday morning will be qualifying before the first wheel-to-wheel action commences that afternoon with the first of two races on the weekend per class. Race two for both Sprint and SprintX will take place on Sunday morning. Stay tuned to GT4-America.com and the SRO Motorsports Group social media pages for news, information, photos and results from the event.
