Audi Sport customer racing and Global Motorsports Group (GMG) driver Jason Bell recently completed two days of testing at the Utah Motorsports Campus (UMC) in Tooele, Utah and will look to take the speed and newfound knowledge to a victory during the approaching event. Piloting his Audi R8 LMS GT4, Bell will return to Utah this weekend for the second to last event in the 2018 Pirelli World Challenge.
“My goal for the rest of the events this year is wins and podiums,” explains Bell. “We had a great test a few weeks ago and are expecting similar conditions this coming weekend, so we should be pretty good. It was good to be on track with my teammates and be able to try different setups and get the best possible package dialed in.”
Fresh off a pair of top-ten results including a sixth place finish at the most recent round in Portland, Bell looks to return to the podium in Utah.
Bell adds, “The podium has eluded me since earlier in the year but I am hungry to get back there. I have always enjoyed the Utah track and have had some solid runs there in the past so I am expecting nothing less than that during this weekend.”
On track action for Jason Bell will begin on Friday with two official practice sessions. Saturday will see Bell and his GMG prepared Audi compete in one qualifying session and the first race of the weekend while Sunday will be the home for race two. Stay tuned to social media pages for a complete daily schedule later this week.
