After nearly eight months of hard-fought battles and a multitude of strong results, the 2019 GT4 America program is coming to a close this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Heading to the city of lights, Bell will once again be competing in two different series, entering in both the Sprint and SprintX fields in his pair of Porsche Caymans.
“It is the final event of the 2019 GT4 America season, and I want to close it on top,” explained Bell. “We have been one of the most consistent teams in the series and our string of top-ten results proves that. It would be awesome to close the series out with a win and springboard our way into 2020.”
Coming off of yet another successful weekend, Bell scored four top-ten finishes, including one podium, last month at Road America. Now looking to continue his success, Bell will be teaming up with James Sofronos in SprintX Am/Am class. Looking to keep the momentum going, Bell is aiming to end the 2019 season on a high note with another weekend of solid results.
Bell continued, “The Las Vegas event is a new one and a track that I have yet to tackle. Running two classes will give me a little extra track time and time to learn. I have a great team behind me and a solid co-driver in James so I am confident that we will be able to challenge at the front.”
The weekend will have an early start with the first practice session taking place Thursday afternoon. A second round of practice will take place on Friday morning followed by qualifying later in the day. Competing in two different series, totaling four races, Bell will take the green flag twice on Saturday and two additional times on Sunday, before finishing out the season.
