After a Broadway Street Party where Jason Bell showed off his GMG Racing prepared Aston Martin Vantage GT4 it was time to focus to the on-track action at the Music City Grand Prix. Taking on the barrier lined street circuit as part of the GT America program, Bell entered the weekend as the series point leader and with winning on his mind.

“It is my second time to Nashville for this event, and I have some previous knowledge and experience from this venue,” expressed Bell. “I hope to use that to my advantage this weekend and extend my point lead.”

After two practice sessions on Friday, Saturday would see the GT4 drivers get down to business with qualifying and their first wheel-to-wheel action of the weekend. After a disappointing qualifying session, Bell would roll off the grid from the inside of row five in the ninth position on Saturday evening with the hopes of driving forward.

Bell continued, “Qualifying did not go as planned, and I know that our car is faster than we showed. With rain earlier in the day, track conditions have changed, and I am sure that will make for an interesting race later today.”

Rolling off the grid in P9 for Saturday evening’s final on track action, Bell was quickly able to advance his way forward and battle in the top-five. Crossing the stripe in the fifth position, it was another strong result and points haul towards his championship total.

Returning to the track Sunday and completing their event prior to the start of the NTT INDYCAR Series Music City Grand Prix, Bell worked his way into a podium position. Pushing hard and making his way forward to second, the GMG Racing driver crossed the stripe in third, another podium result for his 2022 total.

Bell continued, “It was a good way to end the weekend and some positive momentum moving forward to the next event.”

Next stop for Jason Bell and Jason Bell Racing will be at Road America August 19-21.
