Traveling to one of his favorite venues on the 2019 calendar, Floridan Jason Bell was excited to head back to the 4.014-mile Road America facility in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Taking on the penultimate round of the GT4 America program, Bell piloted a pair of Porsche entries as he competed in both the Sprint and SprintX divisions over the weekend scoring four top-ten results, including a podium with co-driver Alec Udell.
“Always nice to leave the weekend with some hardware,” explained Bell. “We were looking pretty good for a class victory in the SprintX race on Sunday but a minor mistake in the pits resulted in a drive through penalty, ruining any chance of a podium finish. The weather played a huge factor this weekend, but I think we overcame it well and worked together as a team to have the best possible outcomes. It is always a treat driving with Alec, and I look to do more of it in the future.”
Adding four more top-ten finishes over the weekend, Jason Bell and his GMG Racing prepared #2 entry have become a model of consistency in the latter half of the season. Racing hard in both dry and wet weather, Bell has been able to adapt to changing conditions and car setups to bring his Ceramic Pro Americas backed Porsches towards the front of the field.
Bell continued, “We will look to close the season strong and build some more positive momentum into the off season and 2020. We have some big plans and some big news in the pipeline that we will announce as we get closer to the end of the year.”
Jason Bell would like to thank all of his partners for their continued support. A huge thanks to GMG Racing, Kavana Rum, Ceramic Pro, Highway Systems Incorporated, Osteria Tampa, Frost NYC, and Gridsport.
