With the 2021 Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires beginning back-to-back race weeks on the West Coast, Benjamin Pedersen is doing so with a new partner in place. Oberto Snacks, a Seattle, Washington based snack company, will join Pedersen for the remainder of the 2021 season at Portland, Laguna Seca and Mid-Ohio.
“It is very exciting to be partnered with a well-known brand such as Oberto,” expressed Pedersen. “You see their line of products in many convenience stores, grocery stores and gas stations around the country and to have them on our Global Racing Group entry is awesome. It’s cool to be partnered with a company that has been involved and has roots in INDYCAR for quite some time as in the end, that is my goal.”
“Oberto is thrilled to partner with Benjamin Pedersen. We are proud of our Seattle heritage and do our best to support the local community,” explained Tom Hernquist, CEO of Oberto Snacks, INC. “Benjamin is from Seattle and is an up-and-coming racing superstar that we couldn’t be more excited to help.”
With four podiums on the season, two at the most recent event at the World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois, Pedersen has vaulted himself to fourth in the championship point standings with momentum on his side.
Pedersen continued, “I would like nothing more than to get my first Indy Lights race win with Oberto on the car at the event that is closest to their headquarters, and we will push hard to try and make that happen. I have a great team behind me, very solid teammates and another great partner in my wheelhouse.”
