Bringing their NTT INDYCAR SERIES and Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires programs together again, HMD Motorsports with Dale Coyne Racing is heading south to the Music City this weekend to race through the Streets of Nashville, Tennessee, and Nissan Stadium. After a successful inaugural event for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES in 2021, Indy Lights has now been added to the schedule for the Music City Grand Prix.
As a brand-new addition to the Indy Lights schedule, drivers will utilize every minute of track time to learn the curves and bumps of the 11-turn street circuit that winds its way through parking lots, the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge and into the streets of downtown Nashville. Utilizing the relationship between HMD Motorsports and Dale Coyne Racing, drivers have been able to prepare for the event with the 2021 footage and data from Dale Coyne Racing.
Yesterday, the team announced the addition of James Roes to the HMD Motorsports crew in the #11 entry alongside Linus Lundqvist, Danial Frost, Christian Bogle, Benjamin Pedersen (Global Racing Group with HMD) and Kyffin Simpson.
While street races can pose a challenging task for many drivers, the HMD Motorsports team of drivers have all found success in street races this season with five of the six drivers earning or matching their career-best Indy Lights results on one of the three previous street races this season.
In the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, David Malukas and Dale Coyne Racing struggled in the first two street races in St. Petersburg and Long Beach. As the season has progressed however, Malukas has been able to put his rookie mistakes behind him and finished eleventh at the Detroit Grand Prix street circuit. Now with a continually developing confidence, Malukas is ready to become a challenging contender in the Streets of Nashville this weekend.
In a city known for music, food and good times, the Music City Grand Prix will set the scene for a weekend-long festival with HMD Motorsports hitting the track nine times over the tree-day event.

All 2022 Indy Lights races will be available on Peacock Premium in the United States, REV TV in Canada and ESPN – Star+ in Latin America and Brazil.
