HMD MOTORSPORTS BRINGS DRIVER AND TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP POINT LEAD TO DETROIT

While the attention of HMD Motorsports turned to the NTT INDYCAR SERIES over the past three weeks for the 106th Indianapolis 500, the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires Championship is back in full swing this weekend on the streets of Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan. Returning with a five-car lineup, HMD Motorsports with Dale Coyne Racing will bring Christian Bogle, Danial Frost, Linus Lundqvist and Antonio Serravalle while Global Racing Group with HMD Motorsports will enter Benjamin Pedersen.

Throughout the talented field, only six drivers competed on the Belle Isle circuit last season, including all five HMD Motorsports drivers, giving the team a head start to the weekend. In 2021, HMD Motorsports claimed three podiums over the course of the weekend.

Linus Lundqvist walked away last year with double-podiums after finishing second in both races. This season, Lundqvist has claimed two wins and currently leads the championship ahead of teammate Danial Frost. Coming off his first Indy Lights win in the last race, Frost is hoping to carry that momentum into the double header weekend.

Heading in to his second event weekend with the team, Antonio Serravalle will look to continue his improvement after a career-best sixth place finish three weeks ago. Also looking to continue improving will be series sophomore Christian Bogle. After successfully working with a new engineer at the Indy Grand Prix, Christian Bogle is on track to continue improving throughout the weekend.

Benjamin Pedersen, with two second-place finishes so far this season, is focused on claiming his first win in the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires Championship.

Coming off a fast Month of May at the Indianapolis 500, NTT INDYCAR SERIES driver David Malukas is ready to take on the weekend in his #18 Dale Coyne Racing with HMD Motorsports entry.

Alongside the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, Indy Lights will take to the 13-turn circuit four times this weekend with one practice session on Friday, followed by Qualifying and Race 1 on Saturday and Race 2 on Sunday.
