This past weekend saw Blue Marble Radical Cup North America battle their first street race ever in the North American series and their first trip north of the border to Toronto, Canada. Cock Oil branded ONE Motorsports’ driver Gregg Gorski took home his highly anticipated first win of the season as he was able to keep his nose clean and off the walls of the barrier-lined, 1.786-mile circuit on the Streets of Toronto.
Qualifying fifth and finishing his first race just shy of a podium in fourth, Gregg was eager for his turn atop the podium. After battling tough competition for two days, Gorski had his break Saturday afternoon in race two. While running in fourth, the three drivers ahead of him were battling hard and made contact as Gregg picked up the pieces and drove to his first win in the series. Fending off those behind him, including teammate Aurora Straus, Gorski piloted his #24 Cock Oil Lube branded Radical past the finish to claim the checkered flag.
“You never want to win from those ahead of you crashing,” explains Gorski. “But this has been a long time coming, and I’m happy to take those championships points. The team has worked so hard to get me here so thank you to the entire ONE Motorsport program. I also want to thank the Blue Marble Radical Cup crew for continuing to level up the events that we go to. This weekend in Toronto has been amazing, and I look forward to more like this.”
Earning pole position for race three from his fastest lap of race two, Gorski crossed the finish line fifth claiming his third top-five finish of the weekend in the Pro 1500 ranks.
Gregg Gorski will rejoin his Blue Marble Radical Cup competitors on track next at the famed Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas for the second to last race event of the 2023 season August 25th through the 27th.
