A race winner in open wheel racing in 2023, Frankie Mossman is betting against himself and leveling up early to help advance his motorsports career. Set to make his USF Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tires debut next weekend at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA), Mossman will join the Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) effort as he continues his climb up the motorsports ladder.

“It is awesome to be able to advance drivers up the ladder as they progress and Frankie is no exception,” explained Jay Howard. “Fresh out of karting, Frankie has proven to be a front-runner and a race winner. His move to Pro 2000 is an aggressive one, but one that will help increase his learning curve and advance his overall race program.”

Confirmed to close out the 2023 season at COTA in Austin, Texas followed by the final event of the season at the Portland International Raceway, Mossman is the first JHDD driver signed to a 2024 campaign as he will make a run at the USF Pro 2000 title next season and the lucrative advancement scholarship that goes along with it.

A perennial front-runner and multi-time karting champion, Mossman made an instant splash in open-wheel racing and credits his rookie’s success to Jay Howard and the JHDD effort.

“I feel like I have learned a lot, thanks to Jay and his team, and want to continue that process,” added Mossman. “My goal is the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, and I feel with this move, will put me ahead of my peers. The two events this season are purely exploratory to show me what I need to work on for a championship-caliber season in 2024.”

Frankie Mossman will hit the track on Friday, August 25 for a pair of test sessions before practice, qualifying, and race one on Saturday. Race two will take place on Sunday morning with a complete schedule, live timing, and live stream available at
