Based on the latest trends and measures regarding self-isolation, lockdown and essential services/businesses surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, Formula Race Promotions (FRP) has made the difficult decision to postpone the upcoming event over the May 15-17 weekend at Barber Motorsports Park.

FRP’s Pittsburgh International Race Complex event June 19-21 is expected to be the new season opener as series officials look at several different options to make up for the lost events from both April and May.

“No one wants to get back to real racing more than FRP,” explained Bob Wright. “However, after careful consideration we have come to the conclusion it would be premature to start our season at Barber Motorsports Park in May. There are too many unknowns and too many states still in either lockdown or self-isolation to have a successful event and a fair championship. Therefore, we are postponing the May 15-17 event and planning to start our season at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex June 19-21. It is our hope we can re-schedule the May event and will be able to have a full seven weekend championship in 2020.”
