Based on the latest updates regarding COVID-19, and the current environment regarding publicly held events and mass gatherings, Formula Race Promotions will postpone their Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta season opener April 9-11. Discussions are actively underway with the facility and other partners for a new Road Atlanta race date, that will be announced at a later date.
FRP’s Barber Motorsports Park Event May 15-17 is expected to be the season opener.
“We will continue the monitor the situation, and though we are obviously disappointed in having to delay the start of FRP’s 2020 racing season, it would be imprudent to not abide by our health officials’ recommendations and do our part to assist in efforts to stem the outbreak of this virus,” explained Bob Wright. “The circumstances are beyond our control, and the safety, well-being and health of our teams, competitors, families and officials take precedent at this time. We will keep you informed of further updates. We hope you all stay safe, and that these efforts being undertaken across the country will be successful in slowing this outbreak and get us back to normalcy as soon as possible.”
Formula Race Promotions thanks you for your support and understanding in this difficult time.
