After four days of unofficial practice, it was time to get serious at the RTX Karting promoted RMC Winter Trophy. With entry numbers more than 80% higher than the 2023 edition of the Winter Trophy, more than 50 Senior MAX drivers will battle for supremacy in the largest class at the 2024 edition of the Rotax winter program.

After three practice sessions in the morning, it was time for the RMC Winter Trophy competitors to hit the track one last time on Friday. With a six-minute qualifying session that would set the grid for Saturday and Sunday’s heat races, the ever-important magic lap was needed to be as far up the grid as possible and give each competitor a shot at the best result possible. With qualifying results setting the grids for both heats one and two on Saturday and Sunday, Friday’s qualifying was one of the most important sessions of the weekend.
