Fresh off his June Sprints victory, Texan Luke Lange is set to make his SRO Motorsports Group TC America debut. Joining Copeland Motorsports and piloting a Hyundai Veloster, Lange heads to the Virginia International Raceway (VIR) for rounds three, four and five of the 2020 season. With a nearly four-month break, TC America teams and drivers head back to the track and Lange is happy to be there with them.

“VIR will be my first TCA race but not my first time at the facility,” explained an excited Luke Lange. “I was able to test there a few weeks ago and am excited for my second ever start behind the wheel of a Hyundai. I look forward to trying to carry the momentum gained from my June Sprints win last month.”

Piloting the Copeland Motorsports prepared Luke’s FastBreaks #50 entry, Lange comes from the national level karting ranks as he makes his move from karts to cars.

Lange added, “I always wanted to do some car racing and the Covid-19 pandemic accelerated that a little. With several karting series rescheduling events for later this year, the amount of travel that was needed and conflicts posed problems for my school schedule. Testing a Hyundai at Carolina Motorsports Park and then VIR, we decided to make the move now and focus on gaining experience this year for 2021, but I look forward to competing in some additional karting events later this year.”

With a Promoter Test Day kicking off the on-track action on Wednesday, Luke Lange will move into official practice on Thursday before qualifying and race one take place on Friday with race two and three of the weekend running Saturday and Sunday. Stay tuned to the Luke Lange Racing social media pages for news, information, results and photos from the event.
