It is back to Florida this weekend for Evagoras Papasavvas. Ready to attack the second event weekend of the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Winter Series, the Parolin USA driver is hoping to turn his luck around from the first event back in January. Traveling to the AMR Motorplex on the grounds of the Homestead-Miami Speedway, Papasavvas will hit the track later this week for practice before rounds three and four roll of the grid Saturday and Sunday.
“Our opening event of 2021 did not show the results we expected, but the speed was there, and we are taking all the positives coming into this weekend,” explained Evagoras’ father, Nektarios Papasavvas. “Evagoras showed good pace and drove through the field on occasion. Unfortunately contact ruined any chances of a podium result, but we never give up and we are back for more this weekend.”
“I can’t wait to get back on track and show what I can do,” added Evagoras. “The race in January was not ideal, but I am anxious and motivated to get back to Florida and compete.”
Racing in the KA100 Junior class, Evagoras will pilot the #871 Parolin USA entry in his quest to climb to the top step of the podium.
With unofficial practice taking place on Thursday, additional and official practice will happen on Friday. Two complete race days will take place over the weekend with round three on Saturday and round four on Sunday to close out the SKUSA Winter Series.
