Alliance Racing is proud to announce that Trans Am champion and 2024 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America Pro class titleholder Ernie Francis Jr. will join the team for round three of the 2025 season at Watkins Glen International, June 19-21. Francis will pilot the team’s entry in the highly competitive Pro class as Alliance Racing looks to build momentum mid-season.
Francis Jr. returns to the series after a dominant 2024 season with co-driver Giano Taurino, where the pair clinched the Pro class championship with a race to spare in Jerez, capping off a season filled with consistency, pace, and podiums. That title added yet another chapter to an already storied career.
Earlier this year, Francis Jr. was also inducted into the Trans Am Hall of Fame, becoming one of the youngest inductees in series history. A prodigious talent, he claimed his first Trans Am GT class championship in 2014 at just 16 years old, making him the youngest champion in the series at the time. He would go on to win that title two more times and become the winningest driver in GT class history with 23 victories.
In 2017, Francis graduated to the top-tier TA class and quickly made history again, winning four consecutive championships from 2017 to 2020 and earning 24 points-paying wins along the way. By 22, his name was already etched in the Trans Am record books with the most combined National Championship victories. Now 27, Francis Jr. continues to race at the highest levels—including a recent campaign in INDY NXT—and is predicted to break records for years to come.
