Competing at the Circuit of the Americas several times over the past three seasons, GMG Racing driver Jason Bell is headed back to the Austin, Texas facility yet again this coming weekend. Set for eight wheel-to-wheel races, Bell will compete in GT4 Sprint, SprintX and the new GT Sports Club (GTSC) class this weekend as he looks to add to his podium haul in 2020.
“I am very familiar and comfortable at COTA same I am confident of a good weekend,” explained Bell, who will be co-driving with Andrew Davis in the GT4 SprintX division. “The team has shown great pace at this facility in the past, so I am expecting nothing less this weekend. With multiple podiums on the season, we are still looking for that breakthrough and there is no other place that I would rather stand atop the podium than at this famous circuit.”
With on track action beginning on Thursday, it is a shorter weekend than past events with no promoter’s test day on Wednesday. GT4 Sprint and SprintX will hit the track three times each on Thursday with two practice sessions and qualifying while GTSC will hit the pavement for two practice runs. Friday will be the home of the first Sprint and SprintX events while GTSC will have a single qualifying session before two races on Saturday and Sunday. Sprint and SprintX will complete their second and third wheel-to-wheel races of the weekend on Saturday and Sunday providing eight total checkered flags for Jason Bell.
Bell continued, “Another busy weekend but thankful for the opportunity to be on track with GMG Racing and Andrew Davis. ”
Jason Bell would like to thank all of his partners for their continued support. A huge thanks to GMG Racing, 13 Ugly Men, Kavana Rum, Ceramic Pro, Highway Systems Incorporated, Osteria Tampa, and Frost NYC.
