With the start of the 2023 Formula Pro USA Winter Series on the horizon, Doran Motorsports Group (DMG) is pleased to confirm its driver lineup for the popular West Coast Winter Series. With an international flare including three drivers from three different countries, DMG will run Canadian Braydon Arthur and Australian Daniel Quimby in the F4 side of their program while American David Burketh will do battle in the FR ranks.

“I am excited to bring three cars to the Winter Series and look forward to seeing our drivers progress throughout the two-weekend, four-race series,” explained Francois Doran. “This will be a great opportunity to get quality seat time. It’s not every time that you get the chance to do four races and six days of racing at two different tracks within two consecutive weekends. This will be a great learning experience for our young drivers.”

Third-generation racer Braydon Arthur of Mission, British Columbia will pilot one of the DMG F4 machines at the 2023 Formula Pro USA F4 Winter Series in California with support and sponsorship from Speed-Fanatics Motorsports and IWE/Rear Ends Only. Following in the footsteps forged by his grandfather, uncle, father, and brother, Braydon is set to make his own marks in the motorsports community as a driver for Doran Motorsports Group.

“Braydon is coming from the Speed Fanatics Academy based in BC, Canada, a program run by Gary Kwong,” continued Doran. “I think Gary has developed a great driver. I have never seen Braydon drive, but the word is that he is surprisingly fast. I foresee a great and exciting battle between him and Daniel.”

Joining Arthur in the F4 ranks will be Daniel Quimby who has been a consistent race winner in Australia. Earning championship honors in the 2020 Southern Stars Canberra ACT, Australian Capital Territory State Title, and Canberra Cup, Quimby went on to claim championship podium results in the 2022 City of Adelaide Titles and Victorian State Championship. Not yet shown his talents on North American soil, the Australian is looking to make a name for himself at the Formula Pro USA Winter Series.

Doran continued, “Daniel is a young karting prodigy from Australia. He tested with us last November and the pace was very impressive. This will be very interesting to see this 14-year-old on track in a racing environment.”

As a former competitor in the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda, David Burketh is making the jump to the FR ranks in 2023 as he joins Doran Motorsports Group at the Formula Pro USA Winter Series. As the 2022 Parella Motorsports Holding Diversity Scholarship Winner and gaining additional experience on the national stage last season, Burketh will make a run at race wins and the Winter Series championship in 2023 with DMG.

“David is stepping up his racing game by moving from F4 to FR. He and his parents clearly have a passion for racing, and I am anxious to see him drive in 2023,” added Doran.

The first race of the 2023 Formula Pro USA Winter Series will take place February 24-26 weekend at the famed Sonoma Raceway in Napa, California.
