With the final two events of the 2021 F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda on the horizon, DC Autosport is making an additional two Ligier JSF4 machines available for the final event. Set to compete alongside the Formula One World Championship at the famed Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas, DC Autosport will run up to three cars as they look to build momentum towards the 2022 race season.

“We have been running one car on a full-time basis this season and currently sit ninth in the championship points,” expressed Don Conner. “To have success with a one car effort compared to other teams that are running three, four or even five drivers show something about our preparation and performance. We are looking to bring drivers into the program that are committed and want the chance to win or podium each time out.”

A functionality of DC Autosport has competed in the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda for nearly five years and is a former championship winning team. Claiming the 2017 championship as an Engineer for the Cape Motorsports squad and Kyle Kirkwood, Don Conner launched his DC Autosport with Cape Motorsports outfit in 2018, claiming another title with Dakota Dickerson. Engineering winners, DC Autosport is focused on continuing their winning ways in 2022 and beyond.

2021 has seen Rodrigo Gutierrez behind the wheel of the #71 DC Autosport entry and after ten of fifteen rounds, he currently sits ninth in the championship point standings. With a triple point scoring weekend to start the season back in April at Road Atlanta, the DC Autosport driver stood on the podium during round nine at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with a third-place result and has garnered points in six of ten races.

Conner continued, “The F1 event weekend is one that everyone wants to race at, and COTA is an incredible facility. We have the opportunity for two drivers to join Rodrigo and DC Autosport and live their F4 dreams alongside the pinnacle of motorsports around the world.”
