The Texas heat added a new level of difficulty for the competitors of the Blue Marble Radical Cup North America series at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) this past weekend. With temperatures well above 100F over the four on-track days, drivers had to keep cool while battling one one of the toughest circuits they have seen so far this season.
WISKO Racing’s Danny Dyszelski has been fighting tooth and nail with his championship counterpart for the lead throughout the season but is finally back on top in the points by one point heading into the final race event of the season. Leaving Circuit of the Americas with a total of two wins, two pole positions, and a runner-up finish, Danny’s new championship standing was well deserved. Along with all those accomplishments, Danny was also able to gain a couple of points for earning the fastest lap of the race twice this weekend.
“I’m so happy to be back in the championship lead heading into the last race of the year,” explained Danny. “We battled through the hot temperatures this weekend and all the hard work paid off. I just want to thank the Blue Marble Radical Cup for always putting on the best races. The competition out there is unmatched, and it makes for some great racing. Also, thank you to the WISKO Racing team. We had a vision to win the championship together this year, and I would say we are at least able to have the chance to accomplish that entering the final event of the season. Looking forward to Laguna Seca in a couple of weeks.”
You can catch Danny battle in his last race of the year at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca September 8-10 for the Blue Marble Radical Cup North America 2023 season finale where the Pro 1500 championship title will be on the line.
