With one F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda race weekend under his belt, Jay Howard Driver Development’s (JHDD) Dane Scott is primed and ready for a trip to Wisconsin. Set to take on the famed Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, Scott is set to take on the 14-turn, 4.048-mile natural terrain road course.
“Road America is one of the events that I had circled on the calendar and one that I have been looking forward to,” expressed Scott. “It is one of North America’s most famous road courses, and I can’t wait.”
Despite not scoring any points in the opening round, Scott gained a lot of experience that he will put to good use this weekend.
Scott continued, “I learned a lot in New Orleans thanks to Jay Howard and their coaching efforts. I learned a lot about the series, the tires, the equipment, my competition, and how hard I can push. All of that will help me in my future growth.”
With a break between the opening two event weekends, Dane Scott was able to sample the JHDD USF2000 machine as he looked to stay in the seat and sharp prior to Road America.
“Getting on track in some different equipment is beneficial,” added Scott. “It really allows me to see my skills and the ones I need to work on. I can’t thank Jay Howard enough for the opportunity, and I hope I can turn some of that newfound knowledge into a solid result this weekend.”
With an optional test session planned for Thursday afternoon and an additional one on Friday morning, official practice will begin Friday afternoon. Saturday will break way for qualifying and the first wheel-to-wheel racing of the weekend, with races two and three rolling off the grid on Sunday.
