The Blue Marble Radical Cup North America series journeys to Barber Motorsports Park this weekend for the second event weekend of the season, alongside the mammoth NTT INDYCAR SERIES. PRO 1340 class front-runner, Crown Racing, is eager for a championship win this year after narrowly claiming the title last year and is set to prove that in Alabama this weekend.

“I had a tough start to the season,” explained Jace Bacon, driver of the number 999 PRO 1340 car. “But, I’ve got a lot more in me, so I’m set to prove that on track in my first trip to Barber Motorsports Park this weekend.”

Crown Racing, who has returned with a two-car team this year, has paired up with the father and son duo Seth Bacon and Jace Bacon and the duo has already hit their stride just one race into the season. Both Seth and Jace claimed their first win of the series at NOLA Motorsports Park with Seth adding two more second-place trophies to their winnings from the first round. Seth’s three podium finishes have pushed him into the top spot in the driver championship standings for the PRO 1340 class going into the Barber race weekend. Jace Bacon’s additional first-place finish in race three has added to the team’s point total placing Crown Racing on top in the PRO 1340 team standings.

“I like what I see in our drivers this season,” explained Team Manager Joey Martin. “They have been unstoppable in pre-season testing at the APEX Motor Club and revealed what they’re capable of in the first round at NOLA. We’ve gotten those first race nerves out of the way, and we’re going to push and work hard to hold onto that top spot in the championship.”

You can catch Seth, Jace, and the rest of the Crown Racing team on track at Barber Motorsports Park starting Thursday for pre-event test sessions before official competition and three wheel-to-wheel races concluding on Saturday afternoon.
