Crown Racing launched their 2025 Radical Cup North America campaign at Sebring International Raceway this past weekend with a standout performance from all four of their drivers. Returning veterans Jace Bacon and Seth Bacon were joined by series newcomers Andy Voelkel and Mike Dardin, as the team made a powerful statement in the Pro 1340 class.

Andy Voelkel had an impressive debut weekend, starting by securing pole position in qualifying. In Race 1, he finished fourth, just outside the podium. In Race 2, he originally placed third, but post-race penalties ahead of him promoted him to a second-place finish, earning his first Radical Cup podium. Race 3 was more challenging, with Voelkel finishing eighth, but his overall pace throughout the weekend highlighted his potential for the season ahead.

Jace Bacon faced a challenging start to the weekend but showed incredible resilience and determination as he fought his way through the field. After qualifying second, he encountered setbacks in the first two races, finishing tenth in Race 1 and seventh in Race 2 due to post-race penalties. However, he refused to back down and delivered a standout performance in Race 3, overcoming the obstacles to claim victory and stand atop the podium by the end of the weekend. His ability to bounce back and finish strong sets a promising tone for the rest of the season.

Seth Bacon qualified fourth and demonstrated consistency across the weekend. He finished eighth in Race 1, sixth in Race 2, and seventh in Race 3, putting together a solid set of points-earning results to build on as the season progresses.

Mike Dardin impressed in his Radical Cup debut. Qualifying seventh, he quickly made his presence known by finishing fifth in both Race 1 and Race 2. He originally crossed the line just outside the podium in Race 3 but was promoted to third after post-race penalties, securing his first Radical Cup podium finish.

“We’re extremely proud of how the team performed this weekend,” said Joey Martin, Team Manager of Crown Racing. “Our veteran drivers, Jace and Seth, showed great resilience, while Andy and Mike had an impressive start to their Radical Cup campaigns. To walk away from the first round with a win, multiple podiums, and strong performances across the board is a great way to kick off the season. We’re looking forward to carrying this momentum into Barber.”

With a successful opening round at Sebring completed, Crown Racing now looks ahead to Round 2 at Barber Motorsports Park, taking place May 2-4. The team aims to carry their momentum forward as they continue their 2025 Radical Cup North America campaign.

Following this weekend’s results, Crown Racing currently sits second in the Pro 1340 Team Championship standings. In the Pro 1340 Driver Championship, Andy Voelkel holds second place in points, Mike Dardin sits third, Jace Bacon is fifth, and Seth Bacon is ninth.
