Crown Racing is currently leading the Pro 1340 championship of the Blue Marble Radical Cup North America 2023 season with help of their father-son duo Seth and Jace Bacon. Next weekend, the Bacon Boyz will be joined by three other APEX Motor Club team members at the 4.048-mile, 14-turn Road America bringing the total team driver count to five fierce and hungry competitors.
“We’re excited to be bringing three new drivers from the APEX Motor Club with us this weekend,” explained Crown Racing’s Team Manager Joey Martin. “Jace and Seth have represented the team so well on track this year, and we can’t wait to show how much potential APEX Motor Club holds.”
Seth Bacon leads the team with 222 points in second with son Jace Bacon following close behind in third with 209 points. In addition to Seth and Jace Bacon, Crown Racing is set to add an additional three cars to their lineup at Road America. Jason Plotke returns with the Crown Racing team, set to compete in the Platinum class as he raced with Crown Racing last year in 2022 in the Pro 1340 class. APEX Motor Club’s Andy Voekel and Evan Wolf will round out the rest of the newcomers in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin as they complete the Pro 1340 class driver lineup. Crown Racing will tie with two other teams as the largest competitor at Road America this weekend with their five competitors. Andy is hot off a win in Street GT at GridLife Midwest and is looking to expand his impressive resume with a strong run at Road America.
Martin continued, “The Radical Cup North America program is on the rise this year, and we have had a ton of interest not only from drivers at our local Apex Motor Club, but outside the club as well.”
