It was a monumental year for American driver Colin Queen as he completed his 2022 racing campaign with race wins, numerous podium results, championship honors, and several accolades to his credit. Competing in the BRSCC Avon Tires Formula Ford Championship, Queen represented the American flag at the front of the field and will now shift his focus to his 2023 campaign.

“It was a great season!” said 17-year-old Queen. “I grew a ton, continued living away from home on my own while balancing school, won races in the UK, and fought until the last race weekend for the Championship. I am ready for the next step.”

Competing in the BRSCC Avon Tires Formula Ford National Championship, Queen took home the unprecedented Triple Crown Championship with wins at some of the UK’s most prominent circuits: Silverstone, Brands Hatch, and Donington Park. Queen also secured Vice National Championship honors along the way. The American driver was the first American to win the David Leslie Trophy in Scotland, won the Jim Walsh Trophy, and was named the Champion of Silverstone for the United Formula Ford Championship. Overall, Colin Queen earned five race wins, sixteen podium results garnering two new track records in the 2022 race season.

Queen added, “I look forward to next year where my plans will include race cars with slicks and wings. Stay tuned!”

With a formal announcement of his 2023 plans on the horizon, Colin Queen will continue his climb up the open-wheel motorsports ladder.
