After finishing 14th this past weekend at the Milwaukee Mile, HMD Motorsports driver Christian Bogle looks ahead to the season’s final event at Nashville Super Speedway. Known for his oval speed, the driver of the #7 Pelican Energy Consulting HMD Motorsports entry is looking to put the Wisconsin event behind him and finish his 2024 INDY NXT by Firestone campaign on a high next week.
“It wasn’t our weekend,” explains Bogle. “Our whole team struggled a little as we missed the setup and that carried into the race. I know the team is hard at work looking at the issues, and with all the data and knowledge, I am confident that we can get it right for Nashville and aim for a positive result. It’s been another great season with the HMD Motorsports crew, and I’m looking to end it on a high note.”
Bogle and the rest of the INDY NXT by Firestone drivers saw a quick practice session Friday before a back-to-back qualifying and race on Saturday afternoon. Throwing down top-ten speeds in practice, Christian Bogle clocked in an 11th-place qualifying result and started from the inside of row six for the 90-lap affair. The high intensity and speed of a short oval make passing come at a premium, and it was a tough one for Bogle. His HMD Motorsports prepared #7 eventually crossed the finish line in 14th.
Bogle continued, “While things did not go our way, we know we have some stuff to work on as a team to finish the season strong. Congratulations to Louis Foster on his championship and to my teammate Caio Collet on his Rookie of the Year honors in 2024.”
Bogle and HMD Motorsports gear up next for their final event of the season at Nashville Super Speedway, the final oval race of four this season, for a two-day event on September 14th and 15th.
