Just three events remain in the 2024 INDY NXT by Firestone season, one road course and two oval races. Christian Bogle, known for his speed on short oval tracks, hopes to score his first podium before the season is out with team HMD Motorsports after running inside the top-eight throughout the weekend. He now shifts his focus to Portland as the green flag flies for the final road course in less than a week.

Christian put up the top speed amongst the 18 drivers in the only practice session on Friday, with the single car qualifying session to set the grid for Saturday’s race taking place on Friday afternoon. After starting fifth in the 75-lap race around the egg-shaped 1.25-mile oval, Bogle held on in the top-five, narrowly avoiding some close calls as cars made contact around him, and eventually crossed the finish line in eighth. The St. Louis event was one of Bogle’s top-three results of the season, which he hopes to improve upon in the final three events in his 2024 campaign.

“Ovals are tough, but I love them,” explained Bogle. “There is always so much going on, and it happens fast. Short tracks provide close racing and some intense battles, which I love and look forward too. The #7 car was quick this weekend, and this is our second top-ten on ovals so far this year, so we’ll carry what we learned from here into the final few rounds of the season, and hopefully, we can improve upon our former results in Portland this coming weekend.”

Christian and the rest of the INDY NXT by Firestone paddock will make a quick turnaround to race on the final road course of the season at Portland International Raceway. Taking place this weekend, August 23- 25, Bogle will battle at the Grand Prix of Portland. Following Portland, the series will venture to the Milwaukee Mile Speedway for the third of four ovals in 2024, ending at the famed Nashville Super Speedway in mid-September to close the season.

Bogle added, “I have experience at Portland that I hope will play into my favor. With the Milwaukee and Nashville oval events new for everyone, it will be nice to see where we stack up as I push for the podium.”

You can stream the Grand Prix of Portland on Sunday, August 25th at 1:10 PM (ET) on Peacock TV or INDYCAR LIVE (globally).
