CB Motorsports officially kicked off their 2025 Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli season at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta this past weekend, demonstrating resilience and determination in the highly competitive TA2 class. Despite a challenging qualifying session that placed Caleb Bacon at the back of the starting grid in his #18 machine, he fought through the field to secure an impressive eighth-place finish.
The race proved to be a true test of skill and strategy for Bacon and the CB Motorsports crew. With limited passing opportunities on the technical 2.54-mile circuit, Bacon remained patient while capitalizing on every opportunity to gain positions. Bacon methodically worked his way forward throughout the race, breaking into the top-15 early on before continuing his charge. Lap after lap, he picked off competitors and ultimately crossed the finish line in ninth place. He moved forward to eighth place after a post-race penalty to a fellow competitor.
“It wasn’t the easiest way to start the season, but I’m proud of the fight we put up today,” explained Caleb Bacon. “Coming from the back to a top-ten finish shows our potential, and I know we’ll keep improving from here. The car felt great, and the team did an incredible job ensuring we were competitive despite the challenges. We learned a lot this weekend, and I’m confident we can build on this performance as we move forward in the season. A huge thanks to CB Motorsports and everyone who supports us—I can’t wait to get back on track at Sonoma.”
With momentum on their side, CB Motorsports now looks ahead to the second round of the Trans Am Championship at Sonoma Raceway, set to take place April 24-27. The team is eager to continue building on their strong performance as they prepare for another intense weekend of racing on the demanding California road course.
