Carl Bennett and his AF Corse co-driver Tommaso Mosca celebrated a milestone performance this past weekend in the International GT Open at the famed Hungaroring, claiming their first podium of the 2025 season in the Pro class with their #51 Ferrari 296 GT3.
The pair battled through a challenging weekend, starting with a 17th place qualifying position for race one. Undeterred, Bennett and Mosca worked methodically through the tight and twisty 2.7-mile Hungarian circuit to secure an eighth-place finish, despite a five-second time penalty, keeping their momentum alive.
On Sunday, Bennett and Mosca delivered their best qualifying result yet, placing their Ferrari third on the grid for race two. Maintaining a relentless pace and precision through the 60-minute contest, the duo fought off several close challenges to finish in the second position, capturing a hard-earned and well-deserved podium at one of Europe’s most technical tracks. Bennett was behind the wheel to cross the finish line, celebrating a strong team result.
“It feels amazing to finally stand on the podium with AF Corse after all the hard work this season,” Bennett shared. “Hungaroring is such a demanding track, but the team gave us a great car, and Tommaso and I were able to make it count. I can’t wait to keep building on this momentum in Paul Ricard next weekend.”
Fans can catch Bennett and the AF Corse squad in action again in just a few days, as the International GT Open heads to Circuit Paul Ricard in France, July 18–20, for round five of the championship.
