Taking place at the famed 2.238-mile long WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Jason Bell and his co-drivers will pilot an Audi R8 GT4 LMS in the California 8 Hours Intercontinental GT Challenge. Taking place over the October 25-28 weekend, Bell will be joined by Pirelli World Challenge GT4 Champion James Sofronas and Andrew Davis in the quest for victory.
“To finish the season with two endurance style events is a good way to go into our short winter break,” explained Bell. “It has been a big process to ensure that we had the right driver combination but I think we have assembled a good team and we should be pretty quick.”
Following the event, Bell and the Global Motorsports Group will immediately begin their preparations for the next event in two weeks’ time in Florida.
Bell continued, “There is no off season in racing. If it snows where we are, we head to warmer climates. Our goal is to consistently get better and for us, these are the first events of our 2019 schedule. Our calendar next year is pretty full and we wouldn’t have it any other way, but first and foremost, we want to win this weekend.”
With a pre-event promoters test day kicking off the weekend, official practice and qualifying take place on Friday and Saturday. The green flag will fly at 9:15am (PDT) Sunday morning as the race runs through the daylight hours with the checkered flag scheduled for 5:15pm.
Jason Bell would like to thank his partners for their continued support. A special thanks to Continental Benefits, Osteria, Frost NYC, Gridsport, Reeves Motorsports, Audi of Tampa and Global Motorsports Group.
