Cahan Racing Team kicked off their 2025 Formula Race Promotions (FRP) campaign in dominant fashion at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, securing five podium results in the F1600 class, including a victory and a pair of outright class wins in F2000. Brothers Gabriel and Ayrton Cahan showcased their speed and race craft throughout the weekend, setting a strong tone for the season ahead.
In F1600 qualifying, Gabriel scored the fourth-fastest lap of the session while Ayrton was fifth, setting the stage for a thrilling race weekend. The duo wasted no time making their way to the front in race one, with Ayrton charging to victory and Gabriel securing third for a double podium finish. Ayrton continued his podium streak in race two with a second-place finish, while Gabriel remained consistent in third. The weekend’s final race saw Ayrton round out his weekend with another podium in third place, while Gabriel closed his F1600 weekend out of the top-five in fifth.
Gabriel also took on double duty, competing in the F2000 class, where he was untouchable throughout the weekend. He secured pole position for both races and converted them into two dominant wins, making it a perfect weekend in F2000 competition.
“Starting the season with a win in race one was an incredible feeling,” explained Ayrton Cahan. “The competition was fierce, but the Eric Langbein Racing Team gave us a strong car, and I was able to make the most of the opportunities on track. We learned a lot this weekend, and I’m excited to keep building on this momentum as we head to Mid-Ohio.”

Cahan Racing Team will now prepare for the second round of the Formula Race Promotions season at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, set to take place April 25-27.
