The Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America series returned in the penultimate event of the season at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas this past weekend after a lengthy two-month summer break. Returning competitors, ANSA Motorsports, brought the heat with co-drivers Bryson Morris and Loris Cabirou piloting the #30 Lamborghini, bringing home two podium results in the Lone Star State.
Starting sixth overall for race one wasn’t what the team was aiming for and meant work needed to be done in the first of two 50-minute races to make an appearance on the podium. Through excellent timing and top-notch driving from Morris and Cabirou, the two brought the #30 Lamborghini home in third to start their doubleheader weekend. In a drama-filled race that saw positions change up until the final turn on the final lap, Morris and Cabirou celebrated in race one. Returning with a better starting position of second in race two, the duo held on throughout the 50-minute race, returning to the podium in second place and scoring their second podium result of the weekend.
“A pair of great results for the #30 crew and ANSA Motorsports this weekend,” explained Morris. “We’ve had quite a break since the last race, so it feels great to return with a strong result. We will now shift our focus and head into the final event of the season at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.”
Morris’s next event will be at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway in two weeks for double duty driving responsibilities in both the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series with ANSA Motorsports and the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge with Bryan Herta Autosport. Taking place over the September 20-22 weekend, Morris will look to continue his momentum as the 2024 season end nears.
