Set to compete alongside the NTT INDYCAR SERIES for the first time this season, Black Sheep Racing will be on track this weekend at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California. Piloting BSR-prepared machines will be Laura Ely in the 992 Master class, while Greg Herback will be in the Cayman Masters category as they take on the next round of the Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West by Yokohama.

“It is always great to race at Laguna Seca, one of our home tracks and even more special alongside the INDYCAR Series,” explained Laura Ely. “We had a solid outing in Austin with a lot of speed and a podium in race one, but some bad luck in race two. We will look to rebound this weekend at one of the world’s most famous facilities.”

“I can’t wait to continue the season with Black Sheep Racing and keep the momentum going,” added Greg Herback. “My experience with BSR has been nothing but exciting, and I am learning a lot with each passing weekend.”

Entering the weekend, Ely currently sits second in the 992 Master class championship standings, while Herback is third in the Cayman Master ranks.

Tackling the 11-turn, 2.238-mile this weekend, Ely, Herback, and Black Sheep Racing will hit the track Friday for a pair of practice sessions before qualifying, and the first wheel-to-wheel race takes the green flag on Saturday morning. Race two on the weekend will conclude Sunday as both Laura Ely and Greg Herback aim to continue their string of podium results.

Ely continued, “We have several guests this weekend from our local Porsche program and look forward to introducing them to the Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West program.”
