With a jam-packed 2019 calendar, BirelART North America found an open weekend and immediately filled it with another event. Heading to New Castle Motorsports Park just east of the motorsport’s capital of the world, Indianapolis, BirelART North America will participate in the Briggs & Stratton Cup Karts North America Grand Nationals, the largest 4-cycle karting event in North America, over the October 4-6 weekend.
“With the 4-cycle karting market growing throughout North America, we have decided to take a vested interest in this platform and continue to provide our high-quality customer service,” explained Dominic Labrecque. “We will support all of our customers, dealers and provide advice to any of the BirelART and Ricciardo Kart customers. Our goal is to give them the best possible equipment and support to help them gain the results they deserve.”
Sweeping the Briggs Junior category podium and putting three drivers in the top-four of Briggs Senior at the recent Canadian Karting Championships, the elite level karting operation north of the border will bring stiff competition to New Castle to vie for the Grand National titles.
To celebrate joining the Cup Karts North America family, BirelART North America and PSL Karting has worked with existing sponsors Target Distributing, Briggs & Stratton, NORAM Racing and Vega Tires to give away a complete turn key AM29 chassis. That’s right, you could win the same exact chassis that won the heavily contested Champions Cup CIK Senior class, and it will be race ready when you take it home.
Labrecque continued, “We will also be giving away a turn-key Briggs & Stratton powered BirelART chassis at the conclusion of the event. The kart will be brand new upon arrival to New Castle and driven by eKartingNews.com’s Rob Howden, but one lucky raffle winner will leave with the kart after the weekend’s final checkered flag.”
Here is how the raffle is going to work: Between his announcing duties, Rob Howden will be racing the brand new BirelART AM29 all weekend right alongside the rest of Briggs & Stratton competitors. PSL Karting’s factory mechanics will be tuning and maintaining his kart the entire weekend. Starting Friday, raffle tickets at will be sold at registration for $30 each or four for $100 and only 250 tickets will be available. After Rob’s final race on Sunday, there will be a drawing for the BirelART AM29 and the lucky winner will head right over to the PSL Karting trailer and pick up their new kart and take it home!
If anyone is interested in testing BirelART or Ricciardo karts for the weekend, PSL Karting will have karts available to rent as well as they will be offering full arrive and drive packages.
