After a successful Road to Indy Spring Training last weekend, Antonio Serravalle is set for the debut race event. Taking on the Barber Motorsports Park for the opening round of the Indy Lights Championship Presented by Cooper Tires, Serravalle will pilot the #11 Pserra Racing entry as both team and driver make their official series debut.
“It’s exciting for me as a driver but also for us as a family,” explained Antonio. “We had a good test last week and closed the gap to the front of the field which is more than what we could have asked for after only assembling the team a few weeks ago. I think we are in the position to take another huge stride forward this coming weekend at the first event, and I look forward to some wheel-to-wheel racing.”
Taking on the picturesque 880-acre facility, Serravalle will attack the 2.38-mile multi-elevation racecourse as his first official Indy Lights event. Set to challenge the 13-car field, Serravalle has his goals in check.
Serravalle added, “I feel very comfortable with team members as they are all motivated and we were very pleased with the feedback I provided. It was quick and only one day of testing, but the results put us in a competitive time bracket. The plan is to go out there, complete every race lap and run the best we can. By the time we take the first green flag, our team will be only 40 days old compared to some other programs that have nearly twenty years in the business. From our one and only winter test to the Spring Training test, we closed the gap considerably and can challenge now. Let’s see what the race weekend brings.”
With the first practice session taking place on Thursday, April 15th, wheel to wheel action will happen on Saturday and Sunday. Be sure to tune in via the Road to Indy app.
Antonio Serravalle would like to thank all of his partners for the help and support to get the 2021 season off the ground as without them, none of this would be possible.
