Sitting fourth in the championship points on the strength of his round two victory at the NOLA Motorsports Park, Ayden Ingratta will take his winning ways to rounds three and four of the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Pro Tour at the Utah Motorsports Campus (UMC). Taking on the X30 Junior category, Ingratta will be aiming for a solid weekend to catapult himself to the top of the points table come the final checkered flag next Sunday.
“Utah is one of my most favorite tracks,” explained Ingratta., “It is all about qualifying and getting through the first corner clean here. I know we have the speed to run at the front and a good weekend would really elevate my chances at the Pro Tour title.”
With a disappointing round one finish back in April, Ingratta returned to the track for round two to steal the race win and flex his muscles. Showing that he is a championship contender, the young Canadian has the mindset of both a race winner and a champion.
Ingratta continued, “I want to win every time on the track, but I also know I need to think big picture as well. If I keep winning races, the championship will be there in the end so that is the overall goal for this weekend.”
Racing out of the Speed Concepts Racing program, Ingratta will pilot an SCR prepared CRG chassis with Speed Lab Racing Engines power. On track action will begin on Thursday for unofficial practice with round three on Saturday and round four on Sunday.
