Now into the third month of a busy 2022 karting season, Ayden Ingratta is ready to take the first green flag of his third series of competition. Set to compete at the Orlando Kart Center for the opening round of the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS), Ingratta will pilot a Speed Concepts Racing and Speed Lab Racing Engines powered Redspeed as he looks for a reset after a difficult February.
“February was not kind to us, but I am ready to attack March and see what we can make of it,” expressed Ingratta. “We had speed at both the Superkarts! USA Winter Series and the Florida Winter Tour, but luck was not on our side when it counted in the main events. We will look to turn that around this month beginning this weekend. I was able to spend some time last week in the Andretti Steinbrenner pit during Friday’s practice sessions at the NTT INDYCAR Series season opener at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, and it really helped me refocus and reenergize myself on making a plan on where I want to be as a driver in the next six to twelve months so I’m excited and ready to get back to work.”
Racing out of the Speed Concepts Racing stable, Ingratta will compete in both the X30 Pro Junior and KA100 Junior classes this weekend. Doubling up on his chances of climbing to the top step of the podium, the junior ranks are set to feature some of the toughest competition seen in 2022.
Ingratta added, “To be the best, you must beat the best, and I look forward to racing side-by-side with some of the nation’s best junior drivers with the goal of coming out on top!”
With the USPKS program on track this weekend, Ingratta will stick around the following weekend and compete in the final round of the ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour. Racing in a pair of classes each weekend, Ingratta has a big opportunity to get back on track and add to his already impressive results resume.
Practice for the United States Pro Kart Series will hit the track Thursday and continue through Friday. The first green flag of the season will fly on Saturday for round one, with round two taking place on Sunday.
