AYDEN INGRATTA HAS HIS SIGHTS ON USPKS CHAMPIONSHIP

It is that time of year when race wins almost become mandatory to earn a season long championship and that is what Ayden Ingratta will be shooting for this weekend. Taking on the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) and GoPro Motorplex facility in Mooresville, North Carolina, the young Canadian will look to put his Speed Concepts Racing (SCR) prepared Redspeed at the front of the field during the final event weekend of the 2021 United States Pro Kart Series. On the line, the X30 Pro Junior National Championship.

Atop the championship standings by 30 markers over his closest rival and 73 points ahead of third, the final two rounds this weekend will determine the winner. In fact, the top five in the championship standings are separated by a mere 169 points, with 600 available points on the table this weekend. With one win and three total podiums in six events, the up-and-coming Canadian driver aims to add another championship to his racing resume.

“It is never easy to win a championship in the junior levels of karting, but we have a slight advantage at the moment and hopefully that helps in the end,” explained Ingratta. “I know I have the best team behind me, so I need to be smart, calculated, yet aggressive when needed. The target is firmly on my back, but I love the pressure.”

Set to begin unofficial practice for the weekend on Thursday, Friday will be the home of another test day as Ingratta and Speed Concepts Racing dial in their equipment for the weekend. Saturday and Sunday will be the home for wheel-to-wheel racing as both days will feature warm-up, qualifying, pre-final and the main event. Come the end of Sunday, United States Pro Kart Series champions will be crowned.
