ANTONIO SERRAVALLE RETURNS TO INDY LIGHTS GRID FOR SEASON FINALE

After missing the West Coast swing and the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires events at both the Portland International Raceway and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Canadian Antonio Serravalle is rejoining the grid this weekend. Set to take part in the Road to Indy finale at the famed Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Serravalle will be back with his family owned Pserra Racing program.

“Our goal is to finish the season strong but also expand our program in 2022,” explained Peter Serrvalle, owner of Pserra Racing and father of Antonio. “While we would have loved to travel west, our plans had to be a little different to ensure we could prepare for the future.”

Antonio Serravalle added, “I am anxious to get going and get back behind the wheel. As a racer, missing two events is not fun, but I am excited to get back and look to build on my progress in my rookie season, but also improve my results from the event that was at the same location in July.”

In a stand-alone Road to Indy weekend that is making up for the canceled Toronto event, the Indy Lights drivers will be the feature of the event as they will represent the top-tier of the popular ladder program. Racing alongside their Indy Pro 2000 Championship and USF2000 counterparts, Antonio Serravalle has his goals set high.

“We have competed and competed well against much larger and much more experienced programs,” explained Serravalle. “It is no different this weekend, and we will keep chipping away to see what we can accomplish.”

On track action will begin late Friday afternoon with the one and only practice session of the weekend. Saturday and Sunday will be reserved for qualifying and wheel-to-wheel races as the 2021 season comes to a close. Stay tuned to the Antonio Serravalle Racing social media pages for news, information, photos, and results from the event weekend.
