Beginning the 2022 Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires season with no testing, Antonio Serravalle has decided to conclude his campaign and shift his focus to the 2023 season. Competing now in a pair of partial seasons, Serravalle managed to score multiple top-ten results including a best finish of sixth in both seasons with Pserra Racing and HMD Motorsports.
“We managed to perform well without any testing prior to the season,” explained the young Canadian driver. “Since we are not in the top position to grab a championship, we will work towards a full program in 2023 with a complete winter test program and make a run at the 2023 edition of the series.”
Starting the season with Abel Motorsports and moving to HMD Motorsports with Dale Coyne Racing for the Indianapolis Grand Prix weekend, Serravalle earned his best result of the season in Indy and improved on that a few weeks later in Detroit.
Serravalle continued, “A huge thank you to Abel Motorsports and HMD Motorsports to give us the opportunity to do a partial season with such short notice. Lacking budget entering 2022 hurt our test plan but sitting out the remainder of this year will allow us a proper test plan and to attack the 2023 season. I would like to thank all of our partners, supporters, friends, and family for everything, and I promise, I will be back.”
