It was a learning weekend for Pserra Racing and Antonio Serravalle as the duo entered their first career Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires Championship event. With the goal to complete every race lap and learn along the way, the young Canadian did just that chalking up a pair finishes and gaining experience along the way.
“The competition in Indy Lights this year is so tough,” explained Serravalle. “As a team we are learning and as a driver I am learning. You can only learn by racing against the best and that is what we are doing. Our team is still very young, but we made some huge strides forward this weekend.”
Continuing to close the gap to the field, Serravalle was able to finish 11th and 12th in the two wheel-to-wheel races improving on Sunday from the 13th place starting spot to take his Indy Lights career best finish. With little downtime until the next one, the Canadian will make the trek south to St. Petersburg, Florida for rounds three and four this coming weekend.
Serravalle continued, “For sure back-to-back weekends like this are not ideal for a small team like us but it is what will drive to make us better. I am looking forward to some fun in the Florida sun.”
With on track action beginning on Friday, round three will roll off the grid on Saturday with round four on Sunday.
Antonio Serravalle would like to thank all of his partners for the help and support to get the 2021 season off the ground as without them, none of this would be possible. A huge thanks to LedgeMark Homes / livgreen, Tycoon Capital Limited, TriBrik, Camptech ll Circuits, Coshore, Ferrari & Associates, Scuderia Ferrari Club Canada, Med-Scan and Sabelt.
