Alliance Racing showed determination, consistency, and promise this past weekend at the legendary Road America, as the team tackled the fifth event weekend of the 2025 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America championship. Fielding two entries, the #28 Pro class car of Ernie Francis Jr. and Luke Berkeley, and the #26 Pro/Am class car of Avery Towns and Garrett Adams, the team continued to build chemistry and gain crucial experience heading into the closing stretch of the 2025 season.
Saturday’s back-to-back qualifying sessions tested both the drivers and the Alliance Racing team. In a highly competitive Pro field, Francis Jr. and Berkeley secured a ninth-place starting position for Race 1, improving to eighth in class for Race 2. On the Pro/Am side, Towns and Adams put in a strong showing with ninth and tenth place starts in their respective qualifying runs.
Race 1 saw both entries show solid pace and composure. The #28 fought through traffic to secure an eighth-place finish in the Pro class, while the #26 finished ninth in Pro/Am after consistent laps and smart strategy. In Race 2, the #26 pairing of Towns and Adams delivered their best performance of the weekend, climbing to a P7 finish in class. The #28 maintained their top-ten streak, coming home ninth in Pro.
“This series is becoming increasingly tougher, but I couldn’t be more proud of the work our drivers and crew put in,” explained Toney Edwards, Team Owner of Alliance Racing. “Road America is a demanding track that leaves no room for error. Both cars ran clean, smart races and continued gaining valuable data and experience. That’s what will make us stronger heading into the final rounds.”
Alliance Racing now turns its attention to the next and final regular season stop: Indianapolis Motor Speedway, set for mid-September. That event will serve as the final tune-up before the prestigious Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Finals in November, where the team hopes to finish the year on a high.
