Leaving St. Pete 11th in the USF2000 Presented by Cooper Tires championship standings, Jay Howard Driver Development competitor Al Morey is set to take on the Sebring International Raceway this coming weekend. Testing at the bumpy Central Florida facility on several occasions in the offseason, Morey is ready to attack and better his top-ten results from St. Petersburg.
“I am really looking forward to Sebring,” explains Morey. “I feel that with all the practice we’ve had there, I will be very competitive. I will also have my new partners on board and assisting me this weekend in Indy Boat Co., Raffurty’s Bar and Grill, and Reis-Nichols, and thank them for their ongoing support.”
It will be a jam-packed and quick two days of competition as a single practice session will lead into the first of two qualifying sessions that will set the grid for race one on Saturday. Sunday will feature a second qualifying session for race two that afternoon. A rookie in the USF2000 program, Morey will once again lean on the experience around him.
Morey adds, “I really look up to Jay and Joe and they help me a lot. I have great teammates and I am confident heading into the weekend. I know we had a great couple of test days in Sebring and look forward to continuing my rookie season.”
