After bad weather plagued the opening round of the 2016 Canadian Karting Challenge, Race #2, set for May 29 at Innisfil Indy will be yet another chance for regional drivers to come out and showcase their driving skills on a very technical track, running Layout #1.
Some exciting additions have been announced by the CKC for Race #2 hosted on May 29. All registered Senior Shifter drivers, along with combined Junior and Senior Briggs, will be entered into a draw to win a new set of tires. The tire prize draw will be held at the Trophy Presentation. No substitutions will be allowed for this prize and registrant must be present at time of draw.

For both engine draws, one ballot will be entered every time a driver registers at each CKC race event, increasing the chances of winning by attending multiple events. Winner must be present to claim prize.
CKC’s yearly Shannonville event, hosted on Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24, is set to run the Nelson Circuit.
“This is the first time we will be running this track for our CKC series. We wanted to offer drivers a longer, faster and smoother track at 1.8km,” said Innisfil’s Tony Launi. “Drivers can come out and practice before Saturday’s race on Friday, July 22 from 5pm to 9pm. Stay tuned for more exciting details to follow.”
Additionally, Innisfil Indy has specials on Shifter race-ready karts for $12,999.00 (regular price $14,999.00). Offer ends May 31, 2016. Shifter kart rentals and sales are also available through Innisfil Indy, please contact them for additional details.
“Thank you to everyone who came out for Race #1. Despite the bad weather, we still had a great turn out,” continued Launi. “We are proud to say Innisfil is the home of the largest DD2 and Shifter classes in Ontario. Everyone is welcome at the CKC and IKC events and we hope to see you all May 29.”
